It’s great to see you using your blog, James.

You’ve captured some of the details from the scene, and I’m pleased to see you using quotes as a reference point.

Here’s some advice to improve your scene analysis in future:

    1) Remember the difference between the film and the play. There is no reference to “stairs” in the play script

    2) There were many more key events in that scene than just the kiss between Romeo and Juliet. These should always be added so you can maintain a clear record of what happens in each scene for future reference.

    3) When you do use a quotation, it’s always important also to add your own understanding of what the quote is saying. The one you chose had quite an oblique reference to ‘blushing pilgrims’. It would take some research to find out what Shakespeare meant by that: please take the time to do it

    This is a good start,

    Mr Waugh
